The trenching head has proven its worth in difficult soil conditions. However, as this is only the first prototype, it is logical that a lot of improvement can still be achieved. With the increased trenching activities worldwide, the development of a new trenching head has been a priority as the use of the first trenching head showed a lot of opportunities.

This new concept of trenching head for TSHD will be based on the experience with the first type of trenching head but will be very different in order to achieve a higher production, sidecasting efficiency and flexibility to cope with the soil conditions and project specifications.
