Trenching - TSHD Standard
Trenching with a TSHD is not new, but when using a standard draghead, this is not efficient:
-
the width of the head is a multiple of the product that will go in the trench
-
the track keeping of the head is reduced

This means that a trench is much wider than the product that has to be laid in the trench. This results in:
-
long execution times i.e. high cost
-
important disturbance of the bottom
-
large backfilling volumes

Therefore, the design of a trenching head can reduce the execution cost and environmental impact drastically
