Innovate2Dredge has rock dredging concepts ready to make it possible for TSHD's to dredge hard rock. This can be done in different levels:

design of a visor that will fit an existing drag head. With this visor mounted in an existing drag head, a TSHD will be able to dredge hard rock. This quick and cheap solution will be very effective when a TSHD has to remove a small volume of rock on a project as this will prevent the mobilisation of a CSD on site

design of a complete draghead for a specific dredger. This custom built head will be very effective on projects where the production of CSD's is limited by swell or a small layer thickness

For both the visor and the complete draghead, dredging of hard rock will be possible in a relative smooth way, reducing the wear and risk of structural damage of the dredging equipment
